We are very grateful to The Elizabeth Foundation for the support they have provided to our daughter Umi and us since the day we walked through their doors. It felt like we were receiving a big hug 🤗 and were instantly made to feel like a family.

Umi wears a hearing aid as she has a moderate hearing loss in her right ear which was detected at the newborn hearing screening test. She also has glue ear in her left ear which can be troublesome at times. Due to the hearing loss, Umi wasn't talking much and that's when we heard about The Elizabeth Foundation  and the amazing support they provide to children to develop their listening and spoken language skills, as well as build their self confidence and give parents the knowledge to make informed decisions on behalf of their child. Its been 2.5years since our first meeting with Julie and the team at The Elizabeth Foundation and we haven't looked back since then - as you all probably know that our girl is a chatterbox just like her Mama. The Elizabeth Foundation has been a huge driving force behind making newborn hearing screening available to all newborns in the UK since 2006 so there is a good chance that you may have been touched by this charity already & not be aware of this.🤔

Umi graduates from The Elizabeth Foundation  (I’m so not ready for this....lol) this summer and we as a family would like to give back to the next generation of The Elizabeth Foundation families .......The Elizabeth Foundation  has amazing facilities & a great playground for children. However unfortunately for a large part of the year, with very rainy and hot summer days, the children are not able to play on the metal slide as it gets too wet or hot. We would like to raise fund to have a sail erected above the slide area so that the children can play outside throughout the year... 

Come on peeps we can do this!

And to the point we are raise funds for the The Elizabeth Foundation with a virtual coffee & cake - next time we see you, your coffee and cake is on us 😊
