Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My beautiful sister Sharon passed away in March, 3 weeks before her 47th birthday, after a long battle against cancer. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and much more to her loving family.
On the last day that she was conscious, I told her I would be raising money on her behalf and asked her to what charity she wanted. She told me Foyle Hospice were very good to her and wanted them to be Included in any charity collections.
Other charities and organisations were also very good to Sharon and family during this time and my friend and running colleague, Darren Madden, raised over £3550 for Marie Curie immediately after Sharon's passing by running the London Marathon. Thank you Darren and all your supporters.
Onto this year's event. On Saturday 4th August a load of runners, cyclists and support crew will travel from Benbradagh mountain along the Ulster Way to Benevenagh Mountain ending the journey at The Coast Road Inn, approximately 30-40 miles. This will be the fifth year of this run. It started off with 2-3 people and last year over 25 were involved including Sharon. This year looks to be the biggest yet. I would love it if you could be involved somehow too.
And why not join us at The Coast Road Inn at the end to raise a glass in memory of Sharon and all those who have fought or are still fighting cancer.
All money goes direct to Foyle Hospice.
