Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Since being diagnosed with leukaemia in 2013, my hobby of sewing has become more prominent in my life and now I have found a way to support Cure Leukaemia as well as doing something I love.

In August 2016, the Festival of Quilts returns to the NEC Birmingham and I aim to enter a quilt to signify the journey of leukaemia sufferers, just like myself.

But to do this I need your help.

My 48" x 48" quilt, is made up of more than 500 3" x 3" squares and it is these squared pieces of fabric that I am asking you to donate, as well as a £10 donation towards Cure Leukaemia.

To donate the fabric, please speak to Laura@cureleukaemia.co.uk and make your donation of £10 to this page.

When sending your fabric square, please tell Laura what initials you would like to be embroidered on 'your' square. It can be the name of a loved one who didn't make it, or your own to celebrate your recovery.

I will need all pieces of fabric by June 1st so please spread the word and help me raise a phenomenal amount of money for Cure Leukaemia. After the Festival of Quilts the quilt/wall hanging will be presented to Professor Charlie Craddock CBE, who has helped save my life, for displaying in the Centre for Clinical Haematology at the QE Hospital Birmingham.

Thank you for your support!
