When I retired I became a trustee of the LHCT since throughout my ministry as a parish priest I applied for grants towards the repair of the churches for which I was responsible and always received financial support and much encouragement.  I am now trying to raise some funds to enable the Trust to continue in its excellent work.  Half of the sponsorship money will go to the Trust and the other half to Billesdon church, my home parish.  Better still, I have been given a pledge that whatever money I raise will be matched by an anonymous donor up to the value of an additional £500 so whatever you can give me by way of sponsorship will actually be worth double.  And don't forget the Gift Aid as well!
