Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Everyone I know knows of someone who has been affected by cancer or has been affected by cancer themselves.

I lost the most inspirational person in my life- my amazing Marma- to bowel Cancer.

Our Macmillan nurse brought light into the dark that surrounded my family during Mums illness.  I will never, ever, forget the amazing work he did with our family and the support Macmillan offered.  Our nurse helped me understand all the things I couldn't get my head around, he explained things that the doctors wouldn't and he made my Dad laugh when I never thought I'd see him smile again.  He explained behaviour and changes and he was there for me and my sister after Mum died despite only having known him a few months.

I've always wanted to say thank you for the support Macmillan gave us and for the work they continue to do, so I've decided to run the London Marathon for them!

What better way also of remembering the amazing woman my Mummy was than to do it on the day she brought me into the world?!  Yes I'll be running the marathon on my birthday next year and I need your help- I will be forever grateful for any donations you make.  I know it does make a difference because it did for me and my family and I know it will for you too.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. This is for you Mum.  You might not be in my life but you will forever be in my heart.  I will never get over losing you, I may have learned to live with it but I will grieve forever.  We might have rebuilt things since you left but we will never be the same, and why would we want to be?

Let's do this!
