A slideathon is a slide-marathon; 26 slides in a day. Whether this is 26 times down your garden slide or 26 different slides across the county, on your own or as a team, with family or with school. Help your small people to make a BIG difference!

Story

Larsen is my brother and I miss him so much. I like playing with his animal toys but I wish he was here to play with me. I like looking at his slideathon pictures when I was two. I’m going to slide like my brother and help give his favourite cuddly big cats to children who are poorly.”

Larsen's Pride was established in 2020 in memory of Larsen Roberts who died from a brain tumour in 2019. Larsens experience of brain surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy was more than any child should ever have to go through. During his treatment, he invented the Slideathon challenge to raise money for the hospital where he was treated. Now we want to keep his sliding legacy going and raise money for the 500 other children in the UK who will be diagnosed and treated for a brain tumour each year. Money raised from the slideathon will help us to provide the comfort of a beautiful Jellycat toy to under 12s and toward developing clinical resources to make treatment easier and less scary. Thank you for your support!

Larsen's Pride was set up in memory of Larsen, who died aged 5 years old, from a rare and aggressive brain tumour. Our mission is to improve the lives of the youngest brain tumour patients (0-12) during their treatment. We do this through the delivery of soft toys and clinical resources.
