The last time I ran anywhere was for the bus when I was 14. I missed it.

This April, I will be running 26.2 miles in the 2015 London Marathon.

My story starts with a YouTube video. Until earlier this year when I released it, nobody knew that by the time I turned 15, I had lost both of my parents. You can watch the story I'd never told before by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page.

Nobody should have to lose the other half of their own heartbeat. Especially not to cancer. The charity I have chosen to run for, Anthony Nolan, matches donors to blood cancer patients in desperate need of a bone marrow or stem cell transplant, potentially giving them a second chance at life.

I can't change how my story ended, but Anthony Nolan rewrite other people's every day.

If you can, please support me in running 26.2 miles for somebody else's happy ending.

I've been volunteering with Anthony Nolan for the past four years whilst at university. What has inspired my involvement is the potential to give someone's mum or dad a second chance, for more moments and more adventures. Thanks to the work of Anthony Nolan and your support in funding their work, more mums and dads can beat cancer and be around to watch their children grow.

I am not even remotely a runner. But the promise I made to myself when I was 14 - that no little girl should ever lose what I lost - is what will keep me moving.

Thank you for reading my story and sharing my journey.
