Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In May 2017 I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. The treatment journey was long -17months and tough going at time, especially with a couple of added complications thrown in for good measure! But now over 2 year since my diagnosis, I am pleased to say I am feel well and have no sign of cancer.
As a consequence of having cancer, at the early part of July 19, I was extremely privileged to take part on the Odyssey residential course-challenging cancer! Helping people with cancer regain their self confidence.
What an amazing week! It was challenging at times but extremely rewarding.
The course is run by a small team and is free to all attendees, and has been running for 25yrs. Without the amazing people, over the past 25yrs, who have given their time to raise funds for this outstanding charity, it could not continue.
On 6th September 2019 The Odyssey team have organised a canoeing trip to Sweden and I have been offered a place!
It’s going to be a trip of a life time! And a dream come true!
The group in addition to canoeing for week will be wild camping!
I am self funding the cost of the trip, but I have agreed to raise £1,500 ASAP!
The funds raised will go towards helping the Odyssey course continue, hopefully for another 25yrs, at least.
