Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We've joined together to raise money for charity. You'll see our team fundraising target on the right. Your donation can really help us smash this goal.

Between us we are entering a long list of fun runs, half marathons and marathons for the remainder of this year and going into next year.

All these are for a charity close to our hearts - Young Epilepsy.

Our friends have a son who is10 and has epilepsy and this charity have helped both him and his family a great deal over the years. We have now joined their fundraising team and committee, which helps to organise events throughout Horsham and surrounding areas as well as giving support to those who need it.

Please take the time to check out this charity - in Lingfield, Surrey. It is at present in the process of building a school which will help not only those children there at the moment but many more in the future.  It is a state of the ar tbuilding and has a hydrotherapy pool.  There is also a hospital which has the top consultant for neurological conditions.

They are still needing money to complete the building work and enable it to be funded over the years.

There are approximately 112,000 young people aged 25 and under living with epilepsy.  It is two and a half times more common than diabetes in children and is the most common neurological condition in childhood.

Approximately 600,000 people in the UK have a diagnosis of epilepsy. This is equivalent to 1 in 103 people.

Misdiagnosis rates in the UK,where a diagnosis of epilepsy is incorrectly made, are 20-31% and can be up to40% amongst Children and young people.

The annual cost of misdiagnosis for the UK as a whole has been estimated at Over £250 MILLION!

Please Donate to this fantastic charity and help make the lives of so many young peopleand children with epilepsy, easier.  http://www.youngepilepsy.org.uk/
