Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page

Unless covid restrictions change, I will be attempting the county around the county challenge, starting on Saturday 22nd May 2021.

it's even more important to donate to this worthy cause, as the Air Ambulance and their crew have been working all through the pandemic providing their service.

Thank you to everyone who has donated up to now - please feel free to share this page - lets help the charity.

For obvious reasons we have had to postpone county around the county, Thank you everyone for your donations so far - The Air Ambulance is still up and running and doing a fantastic job, Your donations are very much appreciated by them

Please keep donating & stay safe

Starting on the 18th April 2020

I am aiming to drive my 1970 Ford County tractor, around         Gloucestershire keeping as close to the County border as possible, (sometimes on the other side),  an idea I came up with as I was working on the Tractor,  listening to Radio Gloucestershire ("We love our county, we love Gloucestershire" Jingle)  I am Gloucestershire born and bred. The tractor has never been out of Gloucestershire since it was first registered (Victory Motors, Cheltenham)

The route is approximately 350 miles with 220 road junctions

During the trip I am trying to raise money for the  AIR AMBULANCE         ( Great Western Air Ambulance Charity) and to make people aware, that they are not NHS but self funded (something I didn't know myself).  I'm told it costs about £1750 to put a Helicopter in the sky, and on average they go out 5 times a day so I'm asking on their behalf for you to give  generously, as one day we may need them

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
