Story

We lost our father, Jim,  in January 2019 following a torturous battle with the awful disease that is dementia, which robs us of the people we love even before they pass on.

The photo above shows Jim running for his athletic club in Scotland circa 1957.

Race Against Dementia was set up in 2018 by Sir Jackie Stewart. Jim got to know Jackie during his career in the technology industry, holding him in extremely high regard both as a sporting hero and as an inspirational person to work with during the projects on which they collaborated. We know Jim would love to be supporting him in this exciting and important work.

The charity will use your donations to fund ground breaking global research into new treatments and preventions that will cure dementia. Please visit the charity's great website for more information.
