The Holy Cross Hospital is five minutes from where I live in Haslemere and it is such a special place. It provides care for patients with severe disabilities and long-term conditions and patients often spend some years living at Holy Cross.

I have just become a Trustee of the Friends of Holy Cross. The fundraising the friends do is described by the Chief Executive of the hospital as ‘the icing on the cake’ for patients and their families. It funds ambulances that enable patients to have days out, music and arts activities, short breaks on the coast for patients and their families and there will soon be a wheelchair friendly walkway through the trees at the hospital for patients and their families to enjoy.
