Story
Jo's Life
Jo was fun loving and had a great passion for life. She was a loving wife, mother of two boys, daughter, sister and auntie to six nieces and nephews. She had many, many friends, whose lives she touched in countless different ways. She was full of life and had numerous interests, from bird watching to running to cooking but most importantly she loved spending time with her family and friends. Late in 2012 she was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Despite her fighting spirit, determination and great sense of humour, Jo passed peacefully away on 19 May 2014 at the age of 44 years. We all loved her deeply and she has left an enormous void in our lives. All of her family would like to help and support others with the same condition.
Jo's Legacy
Looking back it is now becoming clear that from the disaster of Joanna's passing she has left a very good legacy which eases the significant loss to all our lives.
Joanna has, through her organ donations, saved the lives of a parent in two families whose children and partners were fearing the worst and can now live normal lives again. Both families have written letters in which they say they are grateful beyond words.
Joanna has inspired family and friends together to fund raise for the Brain Tumour Cancer Research organisation. The original target, what we thought was an ambitious £2,000, has been exceeded by 10 times so far. This will help save lives in future.
So Joanna's love of life and kindness lives on.........
