On Monday 30th April 2012, our day was filled with immense sadness, but immense joy too. Our beautiful twin girls were born prematurely at 32 weeks, Imogen and Amelie. Imogen very sadly did not survive, but despite being only 3lbs 12oz Amelie came shining into our world.

From the day we first knew we were expecting identical twin girls, we were made aware of how rare and high risk they were, but as time progressed our hopes soared. Our little girls were monoamniotic monochorionic (momo twins) - we are so lucky to have Amelie with us.

Since her birth, Amelie has prospered thanks to the wonderful care from the Neonatal Unit at St Georges Hospital. The medical team have been incredible and this is why we would like to support their wonderful work through their charity, First Touch. First Touch supports the Neonatal Unit at St Georges which cares for over 500 sick and premature babies every year with each baby costing £1200 a day to care for. The majority of the money raised is spent on vital equipment such as ventilators, incubators and critical care monitors; as well as special nurse development to ensure expert training on their life saving equipment.

In memory of Imogen and the wonderful care of Amelie, we hope you may consider donating to this worth while charity. The money raised will be donated in Imogen's name so her memory will live on to help keep other premature and sick babies, like her sister Amelie, alive.
