We protect and restore Borneo's rainforests to benefit wildlife, communities & climate

Story

Dave and I have been fortunate enough to visit some special places around the world. So that these special places are still around in generations to come we encourage you to support the conservation charity Orangutan Tropical Peatland Project.

This charity doesn't just have a great name (did have they have changed it to the Borneo Nature Foundation) they carry out very important conservation; protecting some of the worlds most important tropical rainforest.

Our visit to Indonesia effected us, seeing the damaged landscape that palm oil plantations and illegal logging can do to ecosystems. Since this holiday we have made a conscious effort not to consume Palm oil and the many foodstuffs in which it is contained.

The money raised will support and empower community-led initiatives to protect forest and biodiversity, including anti-logging patrols, fire-fighting teams, environmental education, and the replanting and restoration of damaged forests.

About the charity

The Borneo Nature Foundation’s mission is to protect some of the world’s last great rainforests on the island of Borneo, for their amazing biodiversity - from orangutans to clouded leopards - and the many natural benefits they provide communities both locally and around the world.
