As most people visiting this page will know, PLANETS Charity is very special to me.  After being diagnosed with incurable multiple neuroendocrine tumours in 2011 (prior to which I had been suffering undiagnosed for up to 15 years) I had surgery with PLANETS founder Neil Pearce which has undoubtedly improved my quality of life as well as extending my prognosis.  I am fit and well and enjoying life thanks to the amazing team at Southampton and my voluntary work and involvement with the charity is my way of saying thank you to them as well as helping to improve things for other patients. 

On June 28th I will be abseiling down the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth.  It's not a thought that I relish but i'm always up for a challenge and will give most things a go!  I will also be donning my PLANETS running vest in October to take part in the Great South Run, again!!  I have done a lot of fundraising over the past 3 years and so i'm not looking to raise a huge amount, I just want to provide myself a little incentive to complete the challenges.  I am grateful for any donation no matter how small.  I am very aware that family and friends have supported me constantly since my diagnosis and throughout my involvement with the charity and am always grateful for this.  It's been quite a ride so far, not always easy, so thank you, as always, for supporting me.
