We provide palliative and end of life care to those living with life-limiting illness

Story

About two years ago we lost an amazing friend to pancreatic cancer.  Kerry was taken from us, and her loving family, when she was just 52.  Pancreatic cancer is a terrible disease which is usually only diagnosed long past the point at which it becomes terminal.  Great strides have been made in cancer treatment in recent years, and the survival rates for people with breast and prostate cancers have increased dramatically, which is fantastic. Apparently 30 years ago only 4% of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer survived for 5 years.  Today the survival rate is – still 4 %.

On 18 March I am taking part in the Bath Men's Walk to raise funds for Dorothy House Hospice who provided end of life care for Kerry, as well as providing amazing support for her family, and also to my father who passed away there around the same time.  I will be party of a team, 'Kerry's Heroes', who support Dorothy House and the funds raised will be split with Bath Rugby Foundations, the charitable arm of Bath Rugby.

I really appreciate whatever support you can give.
