Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Rather than put the obligatory £1 in a charity collection box, I have decided to challenge myself in an attempt to raise money for Myeloma UK. Myeloma is bone marrow cancer and Myeloma UK is a registered charity which looks to improve the standards of treatment through research, education, campaigning and raising awareness.
So on 9th September 3 friends and I will set out from St Bees in Cumbria in an attempt to walk the 192 miles of the famous coast to coast walk, finishing in Robin Hoods Bay Yorkshire on the 20th September. The walk takes in 3 national parks, the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors and involves climbing and descending over 30,000ft over the length of the walk, not easy for a man of my age and shortness of leg.
I know we get asked to support various charities all of which do amazing things to improve the lives and future of others, but I would appreciate it if you would consider sponsoring me in my attempt to raise money for this worthy cause.
Thanks
John
