We rehome commercial laying hens to make a difference to hen welfare

Story

Spartathlon is a non-stop 152 mile foot race in Greece. Starting at the Acropolis in Athens you have 36 hours to arrive at Sparta.  The finish rate can be as low as 30% due to the heat and brutal cut offs. Training will involve 100 mile weeks, double days and lots of sweat and tears. The race will at times feel like hell on earth. But its all for a good cause!

The British Hen Welfare Trust have rehomed over 600,000 ex commercial laying hens giving them a second chance at life.  They also promote free range farming lobbying MPs to support the British industry with higher welfare standards.

As Charles Darwin once said " The love for all living creatures is the most noble attribute of man".
