Story

Following my very ‘enjoyable’ ride for part of the ‘Way of the Roses’ in 2015 for LifeCycle 5 - I found myself agreeing to do the 1400 Four Point of the Compass challenge over 16 days in summer for LifeCycle 6– starting at Lizard Point in Cornwall (South), to Lowestoft Ness (East), Ardnamurchan (West), finishing in Dunnet Point in Scotland (North).  The overall target is to raise £1 million for breast cancer research – and my personal target is to reach £10k  a daunting challenge!

The money raised will go towards the work my team are undertaking to develop blood tests for the early detection of breast cancer.  We have already developed tests for lung and colon cancer and, using this fund, we hope we can accelerate a similar test for breast cancer, helping us to detect people at high risk of developing breast cancer in the future and treating them quicker, and more easily, than before.

Please donate to this very important work – and help us work
towards combating this disease that has affected many families.
