Story

Hi everyone, so I've finally gone and done it, AGAIN!!!!!!Having survived the 2017 GNR and being overwhelmed with support and the atmosphere on the day, I've decided to attempt it again!

Once you've all stopped laughing, please read the information below!

I'm running to raise money for the BPA (British Porphyria Association). As many of my friends and colleagues will know, this charity is very close to my heart. It is a support and lifeline for many sufferers of a
condition that my sisters and I share. I am very lucky and maintain good health but have watched over the years as my sisters have been struck with this agonising and potentially fatal condition.
The charity makes a bleak outlook look positive, it supports families that suffer from this disorder and those that have recently been diagnosed and that are finding out about this rare condition.
The charity works closely with medical governing bodies and research facilities to support research programmes, bringing awareness to doctors/GP's and hospitals of a condition that can go undetected.
The revolutionary work that is being done around the world is now within reach as a result of the outreach programmes that are being supported and collated by the BPA.

Without the tireless work of the BPA, sufferers and families alike would have little or no information and can often feel isolated and alone.

With the help of a donation, no matter how large or small the BPA can continue to stay on the precipice of medical research and will continue to support families and sufferers.

Please check out the website to see a little more of what the BPA does. www.porphyria.org.uk.
