We raise funds and create awareness to maintain the church/support good causes
Story
You may not know but Nick and I share the same birthday, 13th January. We'd talked about completing a walk together around Bristol's 40 or so bridges but never quite made it!
So next week on our mutual birthday 13th Jan, I've decided to do the walk in Nick's honour whilst raising money for Canynges Society, St Mary Redcliffe where Nick was President.
You are very welcome to join me. We'll be leaving at 8.30am from Spike Island in Cumberland Road, aiming to complete a 15mile section of the walk over 40 bridges by 4.30pm, finishing at the Clifton Suspension Bridge and followed no doubt, at the Avon Gorge Hotel for a few refreshments!
If you fancy coming along for all or part, then drop me a line and I can send you the full details.
Our church is a treasure of international importance and a masterpiece of Gothic architecture, but it is not just our beautiful building which needs your support. We also run a range of outreach activities, in partnership with local people, which address social issues affecting the whole community.
