Many thanks for all my kind sponsors. I’m happy to report that I was able to visit all the churches on my route (and a few more!). Fascinating to see the range and diversity of our churches, from beautifully rural to centres of urban communities.

The money that is collected is divided in two.   Half goes to the church or chapel of the cyclist's or walker's choice, the other half is retained by the Surrey Churches Preservation Trust for distribution to churches in need. The Trust looks more favourably on applications from supporters of the Ride & Stride event. In the twenty-fiveyears that Ride & Stride has been running in Surrey, over £500,000 has been raised.

My route covers 43 churches in mid Surrey. Towns visited include Ashtead, Leatherhead, Great Bookham, Dorking, Tadworth, Banstead, Cheam and Ewell.
