I have been given the opportunity to visit Gambia in December to help promote the core values of the Football 4 Peace (F4P) programme. I will also be coaching and working within the local communities to bring them together through sport and promote participation in the local areas. The aim of this is to promote sport within a non-threatening environment allowing for people to build relationships and develop on the values of the F4P programme.

Football 4 Peace is a multi-dimensional research; education and social engagement platform that utilises sport innovatively to deliver generic and bespoke ‘values-based’ palliative training and coaching programmes designed in and for areas suffering from high levels of cross-community conflict and various forms of political disorder and social disintegration.

The values of the F4P programme that I am going to be promoting in Gambia include:
