Story
I have never done anything like this... ever. I have friends who run and are quite physically active and then there's me. The stay indoors gamer.
I chose the British Heart Foundation as someone important to me has many issues with their heart and has chosen to deal with it on their own. As it's not my story to tell and I don't understand it all, I'm keeping it broad and generalised.
So after a rough time earlier this year, I was left feeling like I had lost. I'm running the Robin Hood half marathon because I want to feel like I've done something and I've won something. (I have no intention of being first across the line)
As I'm unskilled in the art of running I'm not setting myself any targets. So far I'm happy with my training, I no longer hate running but I'd say I am now indifferent towards it. I guess that's an improvement? I told the organisers that I would be expecting to complete it in 3 hours, I've now realised that might be a bit generous. So I'm thinking around 2:30-2:45. My goal is to complete it and be happy with what I've accomplished.
Please support me and the cause and donate whatever you can. You can donate any amount you want too so don't feel like you have to donate more than you're comfortable with. Thank you and wish me luck!
