As some of you know, Jude and Daisy are long-term sponsors of a Nepali brother and sister who were orphaned at the ages of 11 and 10. They're the eldest of 5. Due to our sponsorship they were placed in the Mitrata children's home in Kathmandu where they receive full board and education. Other sponsors ensured that all the siblings remained together. They are all doing really well. 

Unfortunately, as a result of both the massive earthquake and international politics, the cost of living in Nepal has risen dramatically. Poor old Nepal never seems to catch a break. Mitrata have had to raise the amount they ask from sponsors to nearly £1100 per child for the year. Sadly, this is a bit much for us to commit to until Chitra and Rangamala finish their education.
