Story

I did it Yeeaahh!!! The atmosphere and crowd were amazing, they cheered you on all the way around the course. It took 25 minutes to reach the starting point and 4:45 to complete the route.

I massive thank you to all for donating to the charity and believing in me!!!! At the start of the journey I did  have days were I thought "how am I going to run 26.2 miles and raise £1500" and, today, here we are it's happened, with your help.

THANK YOU ALL XXXXX

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

At the age of 14, after watching a news report on the first ever London Marathon taking place on news round, a thought came whizzing into my head: "One day I would like to run a marathon", and as quickly as it whizzed in it whizzed out again.

Again, about 5 years ago, out with a group of friends having a wine or two, talking about the past, present and future, out of my mouth came the words "one day I would like to run a marathon" (not having run a mile before at this point in time).

That was it. After a thought and words spoken I thought if this is to happen I had better do something about it!

3 years later the trainers went on and I ran to the local pub, about ¾ of a mile from where I live, (I didn’t go in) then walked, ran, puffed and panted home.

These thoughts and words spoken are becoming a reality, I have a place in the 2014 London Marathon, through the Oswestry Orthopaedic Hospital Bone Cancer Research Charity and I have pledged to raise £1500 on their behalf.

I appreciate that there are many charities asking for support, and that money is limited, so if you are able to sponsor me for this charity, I would be very grateful. Here are the links to the charities website and my JustGiving page.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and even if you are unable support me with a donation, any encouragement would be gratefully received too!
