Last year our Gran was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and had to go through a gruelling regiment of chemotherapy at North Devon District Hospitals Seamoor unit. This is when she was given a ChemoHero’s box of Kindness. This was filled with luxury items that together, built a survival kit that dealt with all the negative side effects of chemotherapy. During such a frightening and destructive time this had such a positive impact on my Gran.  Just the idea that someone cared put a smile on her face and lifted her spirits.  

Thankfully. our Gran has got through the Chemotherapy and has successfully beaten cancer, go Gran!  

We have decided to run the Bideford Half Marathon to give something back to Chemohero’s and hopefully help put a smile on someone else's face.
