Story

I’ve  set myself the challenge of walking 100km in the Jurassic Coast Challenge on May 14th-15th 2022 for the Thin Blue Paw Foundation to support care for retired Police dogs throughout the UK.

I’ll be starting the challenge at Corfe Castle, walking down to Swanage, along through Lulworth Cove, past Durdle Door and onto Weymouth. From there, it’s past Portland Bill, Chesil Beach and onto West Bay’s cliffs before finishing in the Dorset down of Bridport.

Thin Blue Paw are a national charity supporting serving and retired police dogs from across the United Kingdom! Many people are unaware that retired police dogs do not receive financial support in their retirement from the force they served with, meaning the responsibility for their care and vet bills fall solely to their ex-handler or new owner. Unable to get pet insurance due to their working life, many are left with ongoing vet bills which can amount to thousands. The foundation provides much needed financial support to these unsung canine heroes.
