You're invited! ........ and I am hoping you will join me in stopping MS in its' tracks.

To celebrate a milestone birthday in 2017 and to commemorate Dean's 10th anniversary, I am taking myself right outside my comfort zone!!!

I am trekking The Great Wall of China ..... and relishing the challenge!

Along the way I am raising money for MS, the wretched disease that took Dean's life long before he died.

Dean was an amazing husband, son, brother, uncle and best friend.  He loved his job as  fire officer and most of all he valued his friendships and helping others.  Oh, and he was the most handsome man you'd ever meet, with a wicked sense of humour! 

MS robbed him of everything.

It's the massive inroads in finding a cure for MS that has inspired me.  Research into the disease has never been more exciting and it won't stop until a cure is found.  In the meantime the research is proving invaluable in identifying treatments that can alleviate the symptoms .... that's where we come into it.  I am funding the trip and every penny raised will therefore contribute to this ground breaking research.

The journey has begun ..... my lovely  friend Dawn Waring trained hard for the Great North Run 2016 and so generously decided to kick start my fundraising efforts .... and  became one of my Angels!   She raised £825 for MS research. 

2017 is about having fun whist raising money .... not to mention the training that I am putting myself through.  Events are being planned ..... watch this space!

What Dean would have given to walk ..... not least the Great Wall of China.
