Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This year marks 20 years since my brother Wayne died very unexpectedly of a heart issue.

I’ve been looking for a challenge, non - running related, to mark this year and one to do in his memory. .

Although Wayne died suddenly of a heart condition at the age of 23 I’ve previously done several events and raised over £8000 for the British Heart Foundation over the years so wanted to support a charity that supports a cause that’s affected so many of my close friends and with my mum recently having skin cancer one that is close to my heart of recent months.

I dedicate this challenge to my dearly beloved and much missed brother Wayne, my mum Pamela and for all my friends who I’ve watched and supported over the last 18 months whilst their close ones have suffered and lost their battles and the many I know who are currently suffering now.

I am not taking this challenge lightly - it’s way out of my comfort zone (I wanted it to be) , 8 weeks of training to the big night on the 30th March.
