Story

Created in 2017, the Superhero Series is an inclusive sporting event. Twice a year, at Dorney Lake near Windsor, challenges bring people together to complete a triathlon in the summer and a wheeled competition in December. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the organisers have creatively established the At Home Superhero Series (Winter Wonderwheels). For a month, from early November to early December, participants complete personal challenges of as many kilometres as possible. For each team, at least one member has to be disabled. Our team of six plans to complete at least 2000km, either cycling, static cycling, running or walking. In addition, we wish to raise funds for the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) Resilience Fund. (RDA) The RDA serves over 25,000 disabled children and adults in the UK, both for therapy and sport. The RDA was instrumental in helping Sophie develop her riding from being therapeutic to the international competitive level. Due to Covid-19, many of their activities have had to be curtailed, although the cost of maintaining stables and caring for their 4,000 horses continues. We would like you to contribute whatever you can to help us support the RDA during this time. Thanks for your contribution.
