Story
On the 20th May 2017 at 10.23am our baby boy Sidney was born sleeping at 23 weeks gestation at Lincoln County Hospital.
I was offered great support during this difficult time and along with a memory box for our child from the hospital I was also given a teddy bear from Aching Arms which gave me great comfort and something to hold when I could not hold my baby Sidney.
I have decided in Sidney's memory that I would like to help Aching Arms continue their great work so on the 12th August 2017 I will be shaving my head on Facebook live and fundraising at a garden party
Update: I will also be donating my hair to The Little Princess Trust which takes donated hair to make wigs for children suffering hair loss due to various medical reasons,
You can make a real difference to someone
- £10 will donate a teddy bear in Sidney's memory to bring comfort to another family.
- £20 will fund 2 teddy bears in a babys memory.
- £175 funds an awareness training programme for hospital staff.
- £200 Will help deliver training to midwives on bereavement care.
Please share and donate for a cause which is often overlooked in favour of more high profile causes but which many parents have the distressing time of going through.
The Aching Arms Charity brings help, comfort and support to parents who seek it who have lost their babies, they are advancing education amongst health professionals about baby loss, and they also provide free teddy bears and supporting literature to parents of baby loss to show that they are not alone through out their difficult time.
