Story

Thank you for visiting my Just Giving Page. In August I will be travelling to Sucre, Bolivia to volunteer for an organisation called Syariy Warmi through the ICYE organisation.

This well established organisation works with women, adolescents and children who have been victims of gender violence, trafficking, intra-family violence and sexual violence. They provide training and seminars to promote non violence in family situations. Temporary hosting, child support and soup kitchens are created for integral development of both children and adolescents. In addition, skills training is offered in a range of areas as well as support for productive enterprises within the region and the general improvement of economical justice.

The promotion of women's rights within society has always been a passion of mine, and I am so lucky to have the opportunity to work in this environment and build on the theory from my recently completed degree.

Before I leave for Sucre in mid August, I will be climbing Snowden on Saturday August 11th to raise money for this program. If anyone can offer support through donations that would be wonderful. Of course, if you would like to join me on the day I would love to have you along!
