Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Sunday 22nd September I will be swimming across the River Humber to help raise some much needed funds to help for the Humber Rescue, they are all volunteers and work tirelessly to keep the river & people safe, 24/7.
We will be swimming from the Barton Haven Visitors centre passing under the iconic bridge. The swim distance will be approximately 1.4miles but we will travel a lot further due to tidal influences. The water temperature will be a chilly 12 degrees.
The River Humber is considered among the very dangerous navigable rivers on earth. It is unsurprising that the most experienced of navigators might be caught out seven knot currents and by its changing sands. Humber Rescue is a completely independent charity accountable for the supply of a rapid-result rescue boat on the rivers.
Thank you for taking the time to read my page & a big thank you for those donating towards such a good cause, every penny counts!
