Story
A group of amazing 6 and 7 year olds in Liverpool have decided they want to raise some money to help those without a home in their city. They’ve decided to run, walk, cycle or scoot 1 mile every day for 7 days for the Whitechapel Centre in Liverpool.
I know this is the worst time to fundraise because everyone’s so skint, but for those without a home, or at risk of losing theirs, it’s also the worst time of year.
The Whitechapel Centre is a leading homeless and housing charity for the Liverpool region. We work with people who are sleeping rough, living in hostels or struggling to manage their accommodation. We are committed to help people to find and maintain a home and learn the life skills essential for independent living. In 2018-19 we worked with 4,323 people. Our projects reflect the diverse routes into & through homelessness. A variety of services, in different settings, compliment each other and ensure no one slips through the net of support.
