A Wake Smith Solicitors team are running the Sheffield 10k on 24 September 2017 to raise money for their chosen charity, Thornberry Animal Sanctuary.

Thornberry Animal Sanctuary rescues abandoned, neglected and unwanted animals and gives them a second chance. It is based in North Anston in Sheffield and rescues hundreds of animals each year - including dogs, cats, rabbits, horses and other farm animal across South and West Yorkshire, North East Derbyshire, North Nottinghamshire and beyond. Last year it re-homed 250 animals.

The charity is dedicated to finding secure, loving homes for as many animals as possible and providing the best care to those which remain there. No unwanted cat, dog, rabbit or horse is ever turned away.

As an independent charity, it relies entirely on fundraising, donations from members of the public, legacies and businesses for its survival. Its vet bills alone reach up to £9,000 per month so please help out.
