Story
The duathlon will begin with Kate W running 10km, which sounds simple enough for a regular runner and half marathon finisher. HOWEVER, Kate lands from a week of 'culture' in Ayia Napa in the early hours of duathlon day.
The baton is then passed to Kate S and Jordan (the creaking bike), who together make it to work regularly. HOWEVER, they have never competed in any form of event, never mind 44km in one sitting. The mighty hills of Richmond Park pose a new challenge to the bustle of commuters at the traffic lights.
Our final leg of 5km will be completed by Rosa, for whom dancing the night away is not a problem. HOWEVER, running to the end of the street and applying her never-ending enthusiasm to running has been somewhat of a challenge.
It may be a cliche, but we love what we do and wanted to come together to do something outside of the 9-5 to support our amazing charity. We're the most unlikely trio to compete in the world's largest duathlon, so please give what you can to help support the young Londoners we work closely with.
Thank you in advance!
