My Gran received excellent care and support when undergoing treatment for breast cancer at Worcester Royal Hospital. Gran passed away last year due to heart failure, and I wish to raise money in memory of her for a cause that Gran strongly believed in. The worcester Breast Unit need funds for a project that will enable a new unit for all encompassing care:  "Six hundred people throughout Worcestershire are diagnosed with breast cancer each year. Our vision is to develop a dedicated breast care unit for them offering a much more personal service.

Gran found visting all parts of the hospital for different tests exhausting, particularly having heart failure. This new centre means patients can undergo all tests and treatments in one place, which will greatly benefit elderly and ill people visiting the centre. Gran had great faith in Mr Thrush, her consultant and his team, who all treated her with kindness, sympathy and respect. This helped us have faith in her breast cancer treatment. Gran's successful treatment made her last few years of her life happier and full.

My friend Jo and I will be walking 70miles this summer around The Isle of White Coastal path in memory of my Gran to support this campaign. My Gran was my strength and support and touched the lives of all who met her.
