Story
Hi, my name is Kat and I will be completing the Welsh Three Peaks challenge to raise money in aid of Four Paws Animal Rescue. Physically, it'll be the hardest thing I've ever done but hopefully along the way I might even find the strength to at least start conquering my fear of heights too! I have chosen to raise money in aid of Four Paws as their cause is very close to my heart, one of their primary goals is to successfully re-home as many animals as they can. I understand the importance of a forever home as I adopted my own cat, Lola. Sometimes circumstances change and I just wish that all animals in Lola's situation had had the opportunity to be re-homed successfully and not abandoned just because they couldn't be taken care of anymore. Lola quickly wrapped her paws around my heart & now I just could not imagine not having her in my life.
So now, a little bit about what I'm about to do ...
The morning of 5th July I will be starting my ascent of Mount Snowdon, at 3,560ft it is the highest mountain in England and Wales. Following a hopefully successful ... and very exhaustive first climb ... I'll then take on Cadair Idris; 2,929 ft and finally closer to home is where I'll be finishing this challenge, on Pen-Y-Fan; 2,907ft. I will be aiming to finish the day within my 24 hour target.
So please dig deep and help me raise as much money as possible for Four Paws, with no Government funding they rely on fundraising and charity events and I am thrilled that I will be supporting them as much as I can through future events also.
