Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In August 2010 Katie Habberley (Haddock) from Team 3 at Limehouse Police Station HT, formerly a PCSO at KD became seriously ill with an incredibly rare form of Encephalitis - ANTI NMDAR ENCEPHALITIS
NMDAR-antibody encephalitis is a newly-described antibody-mediated disease that causes psychiatric features, confusion, memory loss and seizures followed by a movement disorder, loss of consciousness and autonomic fluctuations.
Katie is still to wake up from her loss of consciousness and remains in the High Dependency Unit in hospital.
With the permission of her family, we are currently raising money for the charity Encephalitis Society which works towards Improving the quality of life for all people affected directly and indirectly by encephalitis
