So, who are we?

We work in the Employment, Reward and Immigration team at a law firm called Lewis Silkin.  We have offices in London, Oxford and Cardiff.

What are we doing?

We have split into two teams ("The Bears" and "Team Tosturi") and will be taking over two Ty Hafan charity shops on Friday 6 September in the style of a popular TV show (hmmm I wonder which one we are talking about)! We are the fierce (but also cuddly) "The Bears" - and we will be taking over the Penarth shop (1a Stanwell Road, Penarth, CF64 2AB), which is around 15 minutes from Cardiff. Penarth means "Head of the Bears" - the inspiration for our name!

Our aim is to make as much money as possible for Ty Hafan, but of course we are also lawyers, which means our natural instinct is to kick the other team's butt!

Why help "The Bears"?

Ty Hafan is an incredible charity which provides comfort, care and support to life-limited children, young people and their families. It is not part of the NHS and in 2011-12 received just 10% statutory funding towards more than £3 million needed to provide care and support to life-limited children.

How can you make a difference?

Please visit the shop on 6 September for a beary fun Teddy Bears Picnic. The winners of the Auction will be announced and you'll get the opportunity to have your picture taken with some high flying models. Plus it may be your only chance to catch a lawyer in a bear costume...
