Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Last year I discovered a divet in my breast, like many others I delayed visiting the GP as I didn't have the time.  One day I received a phonecall telling me that my friend had breast cancer.  The very next day I was sitting in the doctors surgery.  I was referred to the Mermaid Centre in Treliske but had to wait a week.  This week was one of the longest in my life.  During that time I had gone through many emotions and considered many things.  One of which was loosing my hair.  I decided that if I was going to loose it it would be on my terms.  My appointment day came and with my husband by my side I was given the best news.  I'm OK, its just a dent! I was so grateful for this news as I know so many that have had a very different outcome.

Well a few months went by and I thought to myself, if you could have shaved your head then why can't you do it now?  There's only one answer to this.  I can and I will.

I have an amazing husband, 6 beautiful children, a loving family and so many dear, supportive friends. I don't need anything else.

My hair will be given to The Little Princess Trust and proceeds to charity.  Please give what you can, every penny counts.
