Story

Hiya!

My name is Katie Walker and I am a 22 year old student from Northern Ireland in my final year, studying Bioveterinary Science at Harper Adams University. This year I have decided to run Belfast City Marathon for Disability Sport Northern Ireland. Sport has always been an important part of my life, from running, netball, and hiking, to trying new activities such as climbing and water sports. I believe everyone should have the opportunity to participate in sport as it is vital for physical and mental health.

Disability Sport NI is Northern Ireland's main disability sports charity working to improve the health and well being of people with disabilities through sport and active recreation. Their mission is to ensure that people with disabilities have an equal opportunity to live a full, active and healthy lifestyle through sport and physical recreation. Their vision is an inclusive society where people with disabilities fully participate in all aspects of life, including sport and physical recreation.

Every donation big or small is very appreciated. They all add up for this great cause.

Thank you :)
