We offer support, educate and fund research to help those affected by GBS/CIDP
Story
So I've only gone and signed up to climb Mount Kilimanjaro!
In October I will be trudging 5895m above sea level and I am really excited/very very nervous!
I have decided to attempt this epic challenge to raise money for the charity Gain which supports sufferers of Guillain-Barré & Associated Inflammatory Neuropathies.
As many of you may know, in 2007 my Mum was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre and it was a very sudden and terrifying experience with a very long road to recovery. Thankfully, due to her sheer determination, the wonderful doctors and nurses at Addenbrookes Hospital, and the huge amount of support she received from Gain, she is back on her feet with only a few lasting side effects.
As such this is a charity very close to my heart and a very worthy cause so please donate generously to give me that much needed push up to the summit. Every penny will be hugely appreciated when I am crying into my sleeping bag!
GAIN is dedicated to helping people affected by GBS, CIDP and the associated inflammatory neuropathies. We provide information and support to patients and their families, raise awareness of the conditions amongst medical and social care professionals, and help to fund and facilitate research.
