My 2 year old daughter Ciara was born with Down's Syndrome so this is a cause close to my heart.

As well as providing services which help people with Down's Syndrome reach their full potential, Down's Syndrome Scotland also play an important role in advocacy, influencing policy and changing attitudes. This is a charity which genuinely improves the quality of life of people with Down's Syndrome and their families, and helps them prepare for and overcome the challenges they face.

So it is only fitting that I face a challenge of my own to try and give something back to a very worthwhile charity.

On 20th June 2015 I will be setting off on a 50 mile night ride around Edinburgh, taking in various iconic sights around the city while trying to avoid the potholes.
