From September 2017 I will be volunteering for a year in Uganda with an organisation called Red Earth education. This organisation trains and equips local teachers in rural schools in Western Uganda. 

I am raising £2000 to support Red Earth so that this work would continue to grow and support teachers to develop their skills and provide the best possible outcomes for their children. Whilst in Uganda I will be working as part of a team to facilitate support programmes designed to equip local teachers by increasing levels of pupil engagement and promote effective strategies for teaching and learning.
