<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 10pt;">My 5 year old daughter was born with a rare congenital disorder “Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita” which is characterized by multiple <a title="Joint" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joint"><span style="color: windowtext; text-decoration: none; text-underline: none;">joint</span></a> <a title="Contracture" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contracture"><span style="color: windowtext; text-decoration: none; text-underline: none;">contractures</span></a> and can include <a title="Muscle weakness" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muscle_weakness"><span style="color: windowtext; text-decoration: none; text-underline: none;">muscle weakness</span></a> and <a title="Fibrosis" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fibrosis"><span style="color: windowtext; text-decoration: none; text-underline: none;">fibrosis</span></a>.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 10pt;">Her disability was diagnosed 20 weeks into our pregnancy and we went through a very traumatic time of being offered abortions and going through genetic testing ending in us having to make very tough decisions.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 10pt;">My daughter was born and other than her disability is a very bright and healthy intelligent young girl with a fantastic life ahead of her.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 10pt;">In short my wife and I would not have got through it without the support of The Arthrogryposis Group. There information, conferences and support were invaluable. </span></p>
