We are moving further, faster to help everyone affected by a brain tumour

Story

On Wednesday 2nd December 2015 the University of Kent Cycling club will be taking on the challenge of a 24 hour Cyclothon. We aim to complete 1,500km which is the distance from John O'Groats to Lands End.

The idea for supporting The Brain Tumour Charity came from our club Secretary's experience as when she was 15 she was diagnosed with a brain tumour on her pituitary gland. Thankfully she is lucky and her tumour is non-cancerous but there are thousands of adults and children who are not as lucky. UKCCC want to support The Brain Tumour Charity who provide much needed support to families during difficult times as well as funding pioneering research into cures.

25 people are diagnosed with a brain tumour everyday yet only 2% of cancer research funding goes towards it.
