We provide breaks for children with cancer to give a break from the every day routine

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my page,

On Saturday 25th June, a group of 20 cyclists will be leaving Ilkeston Market Place, and heading for central London. This is to raise money for two local charities who aim to support local families.
The Ben Parker Trust Fund, known for their fantastic work as ‘Bens Den’ offers the families of children who are fighting cancer or leukaemia the chance to heal, recuperate and create happy memories in a safe comfortable place

And The Little Ted Foundation, set up recently by a local family following the sad loss of their baby boy Ted, to cancer in April this year, he was just 16 months old. They aim to provide getaways for families with seriously ill children, and bereaved families following the loss of a child.

The ride is over 150 miles with approx 7,000 feet of climbing, and will finish outside the gates of Buckingham Palace (fingers crossed 🤞 ). The ride will be the furthest most of the riders will have done, and will be challenging to navigate as riding down the M1 might not be an option 😂
The day will very testing both physically and mentally, but will be worth it for these two great charities. Although the thought of 20 Ilson cyclists rocking up in London will have the Queen and Boris quaking in their boots 😜😳
Please support if you can, all donations will be greatly appreciated.
